Shopping in Philly Mother’s Day Weekend

So for Mother’s Day weekend I took some me time to explore Philly.  There are so many little shops where you find some of the most unique finds.  I went to South St where I bought the first two earrings. My favorite is the second one because of all the colors and the edgy design, and for only $13.00, it was well worth it.  I will probably wear this one out all summer.  And I got the necklace worn in the last picture at H&M.  I usually see all the cool jewelry pieces in their magazines but FINALLY I found an H&M with the same pieces. I purchased this for only &12.95.

Love,

Stephanie 🙂

BeeraBeero Magazine: Behind the Scenes!

We had the honor of providing jewelry for BeeraBeero’s photoshoot, an up and coming magazine in the D.C. area. The shoot took place at Pure night club on U street, providing a modern backdrop to model’s dressed up  in traditional Ethiopian wear   and adorned with jewelry from our inventory. It was so much fun! Can’t wait for it to come out!

^Love this model’s hair!!!!^

Rock With Me! Caribbean Wine Festival Mode

I had way too much fun at the Caribbean Wine Festival hosted by Linganore Winecellars  in MD this past weekend! I mean, wine tasting + food + reggae admits great company? Doesn’t get any better than that =P

Below is what I “rocked”…

I L.O.V.E this ring I got at the International Gem and Jewelry Show I attended a week or so ago (OMG I racked up there!). I think it cost about $20.

The chain-linked pearl bracelet is from Forever 21. Dress is from Nordstrom x 2 years ago. I don’t mean to toot my own horn but…toot! toot!..I thought all the colors came together nicely!

Be easy y’all!

*RTB* Styling for the House Of Jaz Photoshoot!

I have made the decision that photoshoots need to be a part of my daily life! Not as the subject (I’m kinda camera shy), but as a stylist! Last week I was lucky enough to be a part of a photoshoot my good friend Jaz of HouseofJaz.com was conducting for an up and coming venture, and asked me if I could help out with the styling portion. Empress, a dope emcee who happens to be amazing behind the camera, took care of photography and the aesthetics. We had so much fun! Check out the pics below!

Earrings from Aldo.

Cuffs and ring compliments of Forever 21.

Earrings and bangle from Forever 21, multi-strand beaded necklace purchased at World Market.

Iren's Gem Handmade Bahamian Jewelry

I recently went to the lovely Bahamas on a much needed vacation. In addition to soaking up the sun, nibbling on conch fritters and sipping mojitios amongst great company you KNOW I had my eye out to scope out some Bahamain jewelry! My craving was satisfied when I saw a booth full of handmade statement jewelry at the Cable Street Straw Market in Nassau. Whew! Lisa William’s jewelry, the designer behind Iren’s Gem, made us stop dead in our tracks! Check out some of the pics!

This is Irene at her booth, specifically booth #27 at Cable Street Straw Market, displaying her faaaaboulous jewelry…
