Bisoux: Behind The Scenes Photo Shoot With Flo Keyanna For Her Single “No Holding Back”

Last Wednesday we were invited to provide jewelry for a photo shoot for a new pop artist Flo Keyanna.  Flo wanted to do some promotional work for her single “No Holding Back,” which will be released June 3rd so stay tuned. My friend and professional Make-Up Artisit (MUA) Lakisha Evans of Glorified Faces put together a team for the project.  The shoot was done at Pixtions Photography studio with photographer Tyrone Love.  Juan Ortiz, of Redd Pen Media, was the videographer catching all the behind the scenes filming of the shoot.  Hair was hooked up by Alexis; also a member of Glorified Faces. Clothing, and feathered glove in the last look, provided by stylist Lael, who also has her own clothing line called Lael By Lael Marshall, whose collection was featured on the Lisa Raye Show last week.

Everyone I worked with was so cool. It’s amazing how people from different creative fields can come together and work to provide one vision.  We’ve been lucky to have worked with various fashion designers/stylist/photographers/whatever in the past and never had drama on the set.  It makes it easier to flow when everyone is about the finished product and not on their own agenda…

WHAT I WORE

In the first picture I wore a Fish Ear Cuff I made and thrifted disc earrings (one of my favorite).  Then I layered a chunky thrifted bracelet and bangle with a gold nugget ring (one of Vanessa’s favorite).

Sandals From JC Penny

I was walking through JC Penny at the mall to get my eyebrows threaded and from the corner of my eye I saw these sandals. I’ve been looking for inexpensive embellished sandals for the summer for a while and unexpectedly found them here. I only paid $12 each which I call a bargain.  I also found some really pretty maxi dresses which I plan on wearing to Miami next week. I will make another blog post on my outfits then. Stay tuned!

Shopping in Philly Mother’s Day Weekend

So for Mother’s Day weekend I took some me time to explore Philly.  There are so many little shops where you find some of the most unique finds.  I went to South St where I bought the first two earrings. My favorite is the second one because of all the colors and the edgy design, and for only $13.00, it was well worth it.  I will probably wear this one out all summer.  And I got the necklace worn in the last picture at H&M.  I usually see all the cool jewelry pieces in their magazines but FINALLY I found an H&M with the same pieces. I purchased this for only &12.95.

Love,

Stephanie 🙂

Fab Find: Thrifted Colorful Triangular Studs

I found these colorful triangular studs at a thrift store in Baltimore, MD, for only $1.99! I wear them all the time to add a touch of color and style to an everyday outfit. Sorry for the picture quality. My camera broke so I’m working with my Black Berry.

I was having a little fun with Picnik.com photo shop 🙂

Love,

Stephanie

What’s the best thing about Christmas?

Nautical Stripes and Tribal Beads

This one is from a couple weeks ago, I just realized I never published it #oops.  Also taken via the MacBook (I promise to buy a camera sooner than later)

Please ignore the background…lol…I need to work on that…

I tried giving my black +white outfit a little “spice” by adding a colorful tribal necklace and jewelry in vintage gold. Got a lot of compliments on the bling that day!

I just realized most of what I’m wearing are things I’ve picked up at Urban Outfitters over the years (triple finger ring, nautical stripped shirt, and bracelet)

Earrings from Chico’s (<—they sell GREAT jewelry there!)

Tribal necklace purchased at an InterGem Jewelry Show.

Banana Republic ring on clearance (<—another great place for jewelry!)

And that’s it! Any good recommendations on a camera to buy? I’m looking into a Nikon D60…

Otherwise, have a good Sunday!

Bisoux ❤
