Images From Beyonce’s African Inspired Shoot For L’Officiel Magazine March 2011 Issue

Behind the scenes video:

These are some images I found of  Beyonce’s African inspired photo shoot for L”Officiel Magazine, in their March 2011 issue.  Not all the images are posted because for some reason no one has the full shoot. So, I decided to share what I had.

The big bold jewelry are my favorite aspects of the shoot.  Recognize the Gucci dress from the cover here? It was beautiful on that model and now on Bey.

“…And now I want to stay at your side tonight, I want to watch you as the sun lights up your eyes, I want to know when you wake first thing you see is me, You’re all the things I prayed that I’d meet…”

So I’m the slowest person on the planet and just discovered the effects feature on Photo Booth! LOL!

I had fun =)

I love these little chandelier earrings! They go so well with everything. Got them from Apna Bazaar, an amazing Indian boutique in Falls Church that sells all kinds of Indian jewelry and clothes. I featured them in a post a while ago here.

The necklace is from a tribal jewelry store that used to be at Tyson’s Corner Mall. My sister and I used to drool all over ourselves whenever we would stop by, and then one day we went to visit and they were gone! It’s a piano store now. Such a disappointment =(

The vintage men’s watch was copped at an Estate Sale; and the charm bracelet was a gift =) ❤

Hope everyone had a good Monday!

Solange Knowles Fashizblack Cover

Solange Knowles is on the cover of Fashizblack magazine September 2010 issue.  Once again I will highlight the fact that the jewelry inspiration behind the shoot is tribal! A big fall trend this season and the next.  She looks edgy and I can see how her unique style was incorporated in this shoot with a mix of african prints.  Some people will never understand Soloange because they keep trying to compare her to her sister.  Solange has created her own fame and relevance in which I appreciate her ability to stay true to herself.  Get it girl!

Fashion Goes To The Country

Tribal jewelry is making its way to street style, and its becoming more apparent in the fashion related photos I see. I love how the stylist incorporated a country/music festival theme to a high fashion shoot without making it look too cheesy.  I couldn’t find much info on who the stylist, photographer, and models are so if you know feel free to let us know…
